The organizations we're supporting this year are tackling some of the most pressing challenges facing our neighbors: food insecurity, housing instability, domestic violence, mental health, addiction recovery, youth opportunity, and home repair for families who can't afford it on their own.

One of the highlights of our annual meeting is recognizing our long-term employees. Having a large number of people with over 20 years at Lyons & Hohl says everything about the culture we've built here. Loyalty like that isn't given. It's earned, every day.

This past March, we took 12 members of our team to Las Vegas for CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the largest construction trade show in North America. For most of them, it was their first expo ever. What brought us there went beyond the equipment. Our brand-new fuel and lube truck, built by Summit Truck Bodies, was on display on the show floor. From there, the week only got better. Educational sessions, a reception at the Wynn, a trip inside the Hoover Dam, and more big iron than you can take in a single day. Here's a look at the week.

Over the past several weeks, our crews have made strong progress on the earthwork while continuing work in the larger basins, which includes coordinating closely with Valley Rock Solutions to safely blast and remove subsurface rock as needed.

Our most recent project was a D6T XW dozer, originally purchased in 2015 with more than 14,000 hours of service. Over the course of four months, Cleveland Brothers returned it to like-new condition with a Cat Reman engine, rebuilt transmission, hydraulics, cylinders, and wiring, along with a full GPS upgrade to the latest EarthWorks platform.

After 36 incredible years with Lyons & Hohl, we say a heartfelt farewell to Les Giersch, our head of the Survey Department and a Professional Land Surveyor.
