Chester County Lodestar Award
We are thrilled to share a momentous achievement in our sustainability journey. On the evening of September 28th, at the inaugural Eastern Pennsylvania Sunset Soiree, Lyons & Hohl was presented with the prestigious Chester County Lodestar Award. This esteemed recognition is granted to Pennsylvania entities that are trailblazing in their investment in clean and renewable solar energy solutions.
The term "Lodestar" holds deep historical significance, originally denoting a guiding star in navigation. Today, it symbolizes organizations that lead the way, setting an example for others in the quest for a sustainable future. The Pennsylvania Solar Center, through the Lodestar Award, acknowledges and celebrates our inspirational leadership as a Pennsylvania-based entity navigating the intricate terrain of solar energy.
Our remarkable Solar Array project, a testament to a commitment of clean energy and sustainability, highlights our journey to this accolade:
**82.5 KW System:** Our Solar Array, meticulously installed by Paradise Energy Solutions, boasts an impressive 82.5 KW capacity.
**250 Solar Panels:** Comprising 250 individual 330-watt panels, this array harnesses the sun’s power to its fullest extent.
**382,000 KWH of Clean Energy:** Since its launch in March of 2020, our Solar Array has produced an astounding 382,000 kilowatt-hours of clean, renewable energy.
**Over $20,000 in Savings:** We have saved over $20,000 in electricity costs during the 3.5 years of the Solar Array's service.
**$9,700 in SREC Credits:** In addition to the savings, we've also earned $9,700 in Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SREC).
**Rapid Payback:** With its exceptional performance, our Solar Array is on track to pay for itself in just six years, demonstrating its economic viability.
**EV Charging Stations:** In a move towards comprehensive sustainability, we've installed three J-1772 Electric Vehicle charging stations, further promoting clean transportation options.
**Powering the Future:** Our Solar Array generates enough excess power to cover our energy needs and charge an Rvian R1-T truck. Soon, Ford F-150 Lightnings will join our sustainable vehicle fleet.
